Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
Parmelia is a non-custodial payment application that lets users send, receive and request USDC using payment links, QR codes and usernames. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process, how we use it and what control you have over it. Parmelia is operated by Daniel Cueto (Bolivia). For any privacy question, contact us at privacy@parmelia.me.
Non-custodial nature
Parmelia does not custody your money or your private keys. You keep control of your wallet and your funds at all times. We cannot move, freeze or recover your funds, and transactions happen directly on the blockchain.
Information we collect
- Google account data (Sign-In): when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and your Google account identifier, to create and authenticate your account.
- Profile data: the username and profile information you choose within Parmelia.
- On-chain data: your wallet address(es) and associated transactions, which are public by nature on the blockchain.
- Technical and usage data: device type, browser, approximate IP address and anonymous or aggregated usage metrics to improve the service.
- Communications: the information you send us if you contact us by email.
How we use your information
- Create your account, authenticate you and give you access to the service.
- Enable the payment features (links, QR and usernames).
- Protect your account, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep things secure.
- Provide support and respond to your messages.
- Improve and understand product usage.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Google user data
Parmelia’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We only access your name, email, profile picture and Google account identifier, and solely for the purpose of creating your account and signing you in. We do not use this data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except to operate the service or where required by law.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with providers that help us operate (for example, hosting, authentication and analytics), under agreements that limit their use. On-chain data is public due to the nature of the blockchain. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, but because Parmelia is non-custodial, your funds stay under your control and not on our servers.
Your rights
You can request to access, correct or delete your personal data, and revoke Google access from your Google account settings. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@parmelia.me.
Children
Parmelia is not directed to minors and we do not knowingly collect data from people below the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the current version on this page along with its update date.
